Frequently asked questions
What is SGA?
SGA is an innovative approach to fostering supplier collaboration tailored specifically for mid-to-low spend suppliers. It enables suppliers to self-fund their growth by selecting from a diverse range of offerings. The process is facilitated through a transparent and user-friendly website, allowing suppliers to choose what best aligns with their needs and ambitions at their convenience throughout the four-week campaign period.
Why should you care?
Your contribution doesn’t just self-fund your selected offering; it funds your own growth within Roche. By choosing an offering, you enable us to mobilize resources to better understand your capabilities.
Given the significant density of our supplier network, SGA will serve as our compass as we optimize our network strategy from now until 2028.
Why are suppliers asked to self-fund SGA?
After careful consideration, we’ve come to the realization that without asking suppliers to co-fund their own growth, our efforts would lack effectiveness.
By encouraging suppliers to self-fund their own growth, we ensure that mid-to-small spend suppliers are appropriately prioritized and receive the visibility they deserve.
Our goal isn’t to profit from this program; rather, these contributions are intended to balance the resources required from Roche to execute the offering.
Contributions will be either in the form of credit notes or price reductions, depending on the specific offering.
How are suppliers chosen for offerings?
While we’ll endeavor to accommodate as many offerings as possible, there may still be limitations despite relying on the self-funding formula. Certain criteria may apply, and in cases where multiple suppliers meet these criteria, offerings may be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. So don’t delay your decision for too long.
Who’s included and who’s not?
The SGA program targets mid-to-small spend suppliers. Through our segmentation, we selected suppliers for the program, focusing on those with whom we have limited interaction. If you’ve been invited to join the program but do not meet the profile of a small spend supplier, it may be attributed to stagnant growth in your business.
